Privacy Policy for Eat Matters

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Eat Matters ("we," "us," "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Who We Are

Eat Matters is a recipe book and meal planning application with AI-assisted features. The data controller is Yuliia Assanova-Hordieieva. For privacy-related questions, contact us at assanova.yuliia@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the data needed to operate the App's core features.

2.1 Account information

When you sign in via Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive and store:

We do not store passwords. Authentication is handled by Apple and Google.

2.2 User content

You may create or upload the following content, which is stored on your device and (if signed in) synchronized to your account:

2.3 Purchase information

When you subscribe to a paid tier, our subscription provider (see Section 3) processes purchase receipts from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). We receive only the subscription status (active/expired) and the product identifier — never your payment-card details, which are handled exclusively by Apple or Google.

2.4 Technical data

The App stores small amounts of technical data locally on your device (preferences, cached images, database files). This data does not leave your device unless you sign in and enable cloud sync.

We do not collect device advertising identifiers (IDFA), do not perform cross-app or cross-website tracking, and do not integrate any advertising SDKs.

2.5 Feedback and support

When you contact us through the App ("Contact developer") or report a problem with an import, we collect the message you write and any attachment you choose to add — for example, a screenshot and a snapshot of the recipe you were importing. These messages are stored in our backend (see Section 3) and delivered to our team through Telegram. We use them only to reply to you and to diagnose and fix issues.

We share the data described above with the following service providers strictly to operate the App:

We do not sell your personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than operating the App.

5. Photo Library and Camera Access

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time:

Upon deletion, we erase your account record, user content, photos, and subscription metadata from our servers within 30 days. Backup copies are purged according to our backup retention schedule (no longer than 60 days).

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children.
