Overnight oats, five jars
Fifteen minutes on Sunday and breakfast is done for the week. The ratio that matters is 1 part oats to 1.5 parts liquid — everything else is variation. Keeps 5 days.
Ingredients
- rolled oats250 g
- milk500 ml
- Greek yoghurt400 g
- chia seeds3 tbsp
- honey3 tbsp
- mixed berries250 g
- banana1 pc
- peanut butter2 tbsp
- cinnamon1 tsp
Instructions
- Mix the oats, milk, yoghurt, chia seeds and honey in a bowl until evenly wet.
- Divide between five jars, filling them no more than three-quarters — the oats swell overnight.
- Top two jars with berries, one with sliced banana and cinnamon, one with peanut butter, and leave one plain to decide later in the week.
- Seal and refrigerate at least 6 hours.
- Frozen berries work and are cheaper: add them straight from the freezer, they thaw overnight and give up their juice into the oats.
- Eat within 5 days. Add anything crunchy — nuts, granola — on the morning itself.
