Spinach with sesame
Grind the sesame yourself. Ready-ground powder has no oil left in it, and the sauce turns to dust in the bowl.
Ingredients
- spinach300 g
- white sesame seeds3 tbsp
- soy sauce1 tbsp
- sugar1 tsp
- salt1 to taste
Instructions
- Toast the sesame in a dry pan until it smells nutty and a few seeds jump. Watch it, this takes 2 minutes.
- Grind two thirds of it coarsely. Keep the rest whole.
- Blanch the spinach in salted water, 40 seconds.
- Plunge it into cold water, then squeeze it dry in a tight roll.
- Cut into 4 cm lengths.
- Mix the ground sesame with soy and sugar. Fold the spinach through, scatter the whole seeds.
